Meet the leadership team at Aurem Care

Aurem Care owns and operates care homes in the United Kingdom. As well as our expert teams who manage and run the individual homes, we have a team that oversees all activities ensuring that all of our homes are run to the highest possible standards. Our management team visit each home regularly so that each home is a safe and secure home from home for you and your loved ones.

  • Leah Marsh

    Managing Director

    With nearly 30 years’ experience of working in social care, Leah started her career as a carer, progressing into home management, regional management & quality roles working for some of the UK’s largest care providers.

    A passionate leader, Leah recognises that it is a privilege to care for others, both those who live in our homes & those we work alongside and is committed to providing the highest standards of care both as a care provider and employer.

  • Greg Minns

    Chief Financial Officer

    Greg has accumulated 30+ years of experience in lead finance roles across many different industries including retail, IT training, mobile telecoms, market data and technology.

    The last 8 years have been his most fulfilling, working in the UK health and social care sector, where he enjoys being surrounded each day by colleagues whose main motivation is to care for those that need it.

  • Michael Chawatama

    Operations Director

    Michael is a proud mental health nurse and values-based leader. He has held senior operational, clinical, and quality roles in NHS Trusts and in mental health hospitals. In 2017, Michael moved into senior living and worked as a general manager before progressing onto regional and national operations director roles.

    Michael is committed to ensuring that Aurem Care remains a great place to work and offers excellent care and support to residents and their families.

  • Laura Rushton

    Group Head of Quality

    Laura is an experienced senior leader within healthcare, specialising in the development and implementation of governance and regulatory compliance methodology. Beginning her career as a carer in 2005, Laura has progressed through managerial roles including Regional Director and Head of Quality Improvement for the UK’s largest care at home providers.

    Laura is committed to working with Aurem Care and our exceptional teams within, to provide transformative care with a continual focus on resident experience and wellbeing

  • Carly Barnard

    Group Head of People

    Carly is responsible for the leadership of the HR function and delivering the people strategy across the group, she has over 16 years’ experience working within human resources and people function.

    Carly has spent 12 years working within the care sector, this is where she feels most at home and has a real passion for driving positive change and supporting Aurem’s employees in ensuring that they are able to achieve and deliver the best possible care for all of their residents.

  • Christopher Mooney

    Group Head of Estates

    Chris has worked in estates, facilities and projects for nearly 30 years, in various countries around the globe in some very challenging environments.

    The past 7 years working in education, Her Majesty’s Prison service and the mental health sector have been the most rewarding.

    Making a difference in other people’s lives by ensuring the environment they live in is at its highest standard and fit for purpose and meets their needs is everything to Chris.

  • Crystal Adeyemi

    Financial Controller

    Crystal has over 20 years’ experience working in various roles within the finance function.

    She has worked in various industries including manufacturing, property, education, professional services.

    She is very passionate about working within the health and social care sector, where caring for and serving others is the ultimate goal.

  • Mawson Chipchase (Chip)

    Business Development Manager

    Chip is Aurem Care’s Business Development Manager. He has worked in care now in a variety of positions for almost 17 years. He is really passionate about making a difference and supporting older people to find the right place for them to call a new home, and helping their families have peace of mind in their choices.

    He takes pride in supporting our teams to actively engage with the communities around our homes, this ensures that our residents can continue to live fulfilling lives.

  • Lewis Semmens

    Business Applications & Digital Infrastructure Manager

    Lewis has been a part of Aurem Care since its inception, supporting with the acquisition of the first two homes in Aurem’s portfolio, and also supporting in the acquisition and integration of all further sites since.

    Lewis oversees and manages our IT and other various systems that we operate in the group, as well as our online presence, with a strong belief that getting this right will help us to support people in the best way possible.
