The home is supported by a friendly and committed team, fully trained in providing care for older people who require nursing or nursing dementia care.
With elegant period features, separate dining and living rooms, and the opportunity to dress your bedroom yourself, and enjoy daily social activities and events, Aaron House is a wonderful place to call home.
There are three suites within Aaron House, Beeslack Suite with 24 rooms, Errington Suite with 25 rooms and Cowan Suite with 16 rooms.

Aaron House is set within beautiful grounds, with 65 single occupancy rooms, 49 of which are ensuite. The home is managed across three areas: Cowan, Errington and Beeslack,each designed to feel homely and welcoming, with stunning views from both the original house and modern extension.
Life at Aaron House is vibrant and engaging, with daily activities ranging from physical exercise to themed events such as beach parties, friendship days and afternoon teas. Residents also take pride in the edible garden, where they help grow fresh produce including potatoes, peas, beetroot and more.

Amanda Rankin is Home Manager at Aaron House Care Home in Penicuik. She has been a nurse for 17 years, with over a decade of experience in leadership.
Her journey into nursing was shaped by personal experiences that gave her a deep appreciation for the difference compassionate, dedicated care can make during some of the most important and challenging moments in people’s lives. Those experiences inspired Amanda to pursue nursing and gave her a strong desire to give something back by caring for others.
She now specialises in caring for older people within care home settings, a role Amanda is incredibly passionate about and proud to lead a dedicated team of like-minded individuals who share her commitment to providing compassionate, person-centred care and creating a warm, supportive environment where residents feel valued, respected and truly at home.
