We are seeking Health Care Assistants to join our friendly and dedicated team, at Hailsham House Care Home, in Hellingly, East Sussex.

Hailsham House provides care for up to 90 older people who require residential or nursing support, or who are living with dementia.

Located just outside Hailsham, our home is beautifully located in a quiet, rural community, with extensive gardens and ample free parking.

About You:

  • Applicants with experience are of course welcome to apply, but experience is not necessary – full comprehensive training will be given to all new team members.
  • Ability to work well both as part of a team and on your own initiative
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of people at all levels – including residents, their families, colleagues, visitors etc.
  • Understanding the importance of both following instructions to complete tasks set, and also prioritising your ‘to do’ list.
  • Enjoy supporting residents in numerous ways in their daily living, from personal care and mealtimes, to activity, companionship and reassurance and emotional support. Understanding our residents come first.

We are looking for new team members who are as passionate as we are to support our residents to remain active, independent and to enjoy every minute of every day – to enjoy being ‘home at Hailsham’!

This will include: encouraging and supporting them in all aspects of their daily living, for example, washing, dressing, continence, enjoying meals and drinks, taking part in activities and entertainment and any challenges presented by their physical, emotional or memory health and wellbeing.

You will have detailed care plans to guide you for each resident, and always of course, the support of your leadership team and colleagues…
