As we grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated People Assistant to join our team and support HR and administration across all areas of People function.

Job Overview:

This role requires data input of all HR information as well as dealing with producing reports and responding on queries. Supporting the People Team with a full administration service across all areas of the People function including HR and Recruitment and Personal Assistant duties for the MD.

The role will also support the management of HR administration tasks such as KPI reporting, new starter onboarding, maintenance of our HR system Sona and Recruit genie and performance management.

Responsibilities:

  • To support on key Quality meetings and provide accurate minutes and circulate
  • To assist the HR and MD in adhoc projects when required.
  • To take responsibility for HR audits in Homes, visiting homes to check their compliance levels on HR files following the CQC guidelines
  • To support in the production of monthly data for Board reports and Leadership Team updates
  • To assist with the booking of hotels for the Leadership Team
  • To produce and send letters on behalf of HR & Leadership Team
  • To assist with the production of company material such as induction programmes, HR toolkits, Quality guidance etc
  • To manage general administration requests such as updating & circulating the internal contacts list, maintaining an annual leave log for the office and operational support teams
  • Managing the absence process
  • To process benefits forms where required following the correct procedure
  • To receive P45’s, P46’s and pass onto the relevant payroll following the correct procedure
  • To support the recruitment team in onboarding: Applying/chasing references, manage the DBS process, obtaining right to work and onboarding documents
  • Create personnel files for candidates offered a role within the business areas, take ownership of ensuring the file is fully compliant prior to the candidate commencing employment
  • To create offer letters and contracts and send out to candidates along with the offer pack in a timely manner
  • To initiate and process new starter forms / variation forms following the correct payroll procedure
  • To manage DBS renewal’s
  • To support on any on-boarding of candidates including booking of inductions and assisting in the planning of induction meetings
  • Completing a right to work audit across the homes
  • To order IT equipment, uniform or name badges when required
  • This is a varied and flexible role, with a opportunity to learn in the HR industry

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience of working in HR
  • Understanding of the recruitment process, including applying for references, DBS and right to work checks
  • Able to work to deadlines and managing multiple priorities at any one time
  • Experience with ER cases notetaking and employment law
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Packages
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to interact with individuals at all levels and demonstrate the highest degree of integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Attention to detail and passion for providing great service
  • Ability to show initiative
  • Willingness to learn and grow
  • Enjoys working effectively as part of a team

  • Full time contract, 40 hours per week
  • Hours: Monday – Friday
  • Salary: £30,000 per annum
