Vibrant Blooms and Riverside Bliss at Aaron House

Vibrant blooms of Happiness at Aaron House

Aaron House residents recently had the pleasure of receiving a beautiful array of flowers generously donated by our local Tesco supermarket. This thoughtful gesture opened the door to a delightful afternoon of creativity and camaraderie.

Gathering a group of our wonderful ladies, many of whom have a background in flower arranging from their days in churches and ladies’ groups, we embarked on a Summer style floral project. With roses and lovely carnations at their disposal, the ladies rolled up their sleeves and put their artistic talents to work. The result was a collection of stunning flower displays destined to adorn our communal areas, a testament to their passion and skill.

To make the day even sweeter, our talented chef, Marco, treated everyone to a scrumptious spread of cakes that perfectly rounded off the afternoon. The smiles and sense of achievement were palpable, as Aaron House residents celebrated their beautiful creations and shared moments of joy.

A Memorable Day Afloat on the Seagull Barge

As the sun finally made its debut in Scotland, Aaron House decided it was the perfect time to seize the opportunity for an unforgettable outing. Six of our residents were treated to a trip on the Seagull Barge, a journey from Edinburgh to Ratho that held the promise of cherished memories.

Bundled up against the chill, the residents embarked on a scenic drive to the barge, reconnecting with places and sights they hadn’t seen in a while. Once aboard the barge, they set sail along the Union Canal, a journey filled with unexpected delights. Residents had the privilege of witnessing a Kingfisher in action, diving gracefully for its meal, and spotting a water vole on the banks, a testament to the beauty of Scotland’s wildlife.

Our very own Aaron House Chef didn’t miss the chance to elevate the experience with a delightful picnic. The spread was exquisite, and the cakes, courtesy of Marco, were a particular highlight. Basking in the warmth of the sun and the tranquillity of their surroundings, residents relished the serene afternoon.

With hearts full of joy and memories to last a lifetime, our residents returned to Aaron House after a truly lovely day trip. The Seagull Barge adventure served as a reminder of the precious moments we create and share together, making every day special at Aaron House.
