Halloween pyjama party brings spooky fun to Caterham care home

Residents and staff at a Caterham care home swapped their everyday clothes for Halloween-themed pyjamas as they enjoyed a spooktacular party filled with music, games and treats.

Buxton Lodge, which is operated by Aurem Care, hosted the party, with residents and colleagues dressing up in their favourite spooky nightwear for an afternoon of fun and entertainment.

The celebrations began with Halloween-themed games before everyone gathered for a party featuring live music from popular singer Poppy, who joined in the spirit of the occasion by arriving in her own Halloween pyjamas.

There was also a buffet featuring a selection of delicious food, homemade-style cakes and seasonal treats, along with drinks to help everyone celebrate in style.

The event proved a huge success, with residents enjoying the opportunity to socialise, sing along to their favourite songs and spend time together.

Resident Steven was particularly impressed by the refreshments and entertainment. He said: “What a great spread and a great party you have put on!”

For fellow resident Pam, the celebrations were especially meaningful as the party coincided with her anniversary. She said: “What a great way to celebrate my anniversary, with such a lovely party!”

Staff at Buxton Lodge also embraced the Halloween spirit, helping to organise the entertainment, decorate for the occasion and ensure everyone could join in the celebrations.

Colleague Denise said: “What an amazing event! It was wonderful to see everyone getting into the Halloween spirit, dressing up in their pyjamas and having such a fantastic time.

“There was so much laughter throughout the day, and seeing the residents enjoying the music, games and delicious food made all the effort worthwhile. We had a brilliant time, and I think everyone would agree it was a Halloween celebration to remember!”
