Residents, relatives and staff at Glebe House Care Home in Caterham enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with a traditional afternoon tea as the home hosted its annual Summer Party.
This year’s celebration took on a charming vintage tea party theme, with the home beautifully decorated to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone attending.
Entertainment was provided by singer Lizzie and DJ Denny, who kept residents, families and friends singing along and dancing throughout the afternoon, creating a real sense of celebration.
The home’s chef prepared a delicious selection of traditional favourites, including sandwiches, homemade Victoria sponge, cream scones and, fittingly, plenty of tea, giving guests the perfect opportunity to relax and spend quality time together.
The annual event is one of the highlights of the Glebe House calendar, bringing residents together with their loved ones to create special memories in a fun and sociable setting.
Home Manager Sam Hadzisa said: “Our annual Summer Party is always one of the most anticipated events of the year, and it was wonderful to see so many residents enjoying themselves alongside their families and friends.
“There were smiles everywhere you looked, with people singing, chatting and making happy memories together. Events like these are so important because they strengthen the connections between residents and their loved ones while creating such a joyful atmosphere throughout the home.
“A huge thank you goes to everyone who helped make the day so special, particularly our talented chef, singer Lizzie and DJ Denny for providing such fantastic entertainment.”
