Kat Townsend is Home Manager at Kilburn Care Home in Belper. She brings more than a decade of leadership experience across health and social care. Her background includes senior roles in quality, compliance, consultancy, and registered management, with extensive experience overseeing multiple services for large providers.
She has supported Care Quality Commission inspections, led improvement strategies, and coached managers and frontline teams to deliver consistently high standards of care. Having also run her own consultancy specialising in change management, interim leadership, and quality assurance, Kat brings a strong focus on quality, stability, and continuous improvement.
She is passionate about creating a warm, person-centred environment where residents feel truly at home, and staff feel supported, empowered, and proud of the care they deliver, while building strong, trusting relationships with residents and their families.
