Kilburn Care Home offers residential, nursing, dementia and respite care in a specially designed modern home in the village of Kilburn, close to local bus services and the wider motorway network.

The home, featuring 47 rooms, is bright with rooms for communal activities, quiet pastimes and family visits. Residents benefit from a popular patio on a sunny day and there are raised planters for the green-fingered.

The home and all its carers are well equipped to support each resident but always look to enhance life in the home. The activities programme is filled with enjoyment and even special visitors like their therapy pets. Residents can enjoy arts and crafts, gentle exercise and get out and about.

We offer a selection of 47 rooms, each thoughtfully furnished with ensuite facilities to ensure utmost comfort and privacy. For our guests’ convenience, we extend the choice of single occupancy rooms or double occupancy rooms tailored to accommodate pairs. Your preferences are our priority.

Personalisation

We are dedicated to accommodating your personal belongings, inviting you to furnish your room with your unique touch. From cherished furniture pieces to personal decorations and even photographs reminiscent of home, feel free to create a space that resonates with your individuality and makes you feel truly at ease.

Freshly cooked food

Our on-site chef is at your service, preparing selection of freshly cooked meals.

Services

As well as laundry services, from time to time we will ask companies to come in and offer their goods and services and even therapy pets to our residents to enhance life at the care home.

Activities

The schedule of activities is designed to stimulate, including visits from therapy pets that bring extra sunshine. Residents have the opportunity to partake in arts, crafts, and gentle exercises, as well as outdoor excursions.

As well as providing excellent professional care, our entire team are dedicated to fostering a sense of home and of belonging.

That means taking plenty of time to understand individual residents, their likes, and dislikes, and exploring all the ways we can make them happy and comfortable. It’s all about giving our residents and their loved ones the confidence that we’re providing the very best of care and delivering special resident experiences every day, making their day, every day.

  • Simone Nickson

    Home Manager

    Simone Nickson joined the Aurem Care team as Interim Support Manager in February 2025 for an initial period of three months. A Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with over 21 years of extensive experience, Simone began her care journey at just 15 years old, initially serving evening Horlicks as a care assistant in a nursing home. Her passion for care developed through diverse roles in the NHS, forensic hospitals, community settings, and care homes, providing her with a broad understanding of healthcare environments.

    Simone had initially never envisioned a career in management; however, stepping into a managerial role in 2013, she quickly embraced the opportunity and discovered her natural talent for leadership. Renowned for her honesty, transparency, and unwavering people-centred ethos, Simone takes immense satisfaction from supporting and nurturing her teams, witnessing their growth and success under her guidance.
