An overview

Lostock Lodge offers the highest quality care for residential and dementia clients. Residents enjoy personalised care and a varied range of stimulating social activities takes place each day.

Lostock Lodge cares for clients with both Residential and Dementia needs in up to 32 ensuite rooms.

Our staff are professionally qualified yet friendly and caring, a combination that ensures the highest standards of care for our residents.

We pride ourselves on our friendly, homely atmosphere and we welcome visits from prospective clients.

The Lodge is tastefully furnished and the décor is designed to be uplifting and is divided into several themed areas including seaside, countryside and street scenes as well as a bistro area. On a practical level we are of course equipped with all the facilities required to meet the needs of our residents.

We have two dining rooms, three lounges including a conservatory, and a hair salon/ treatment room, while outdoors is an attractive patio area and a summer house where residents can safely enjoy fine weather.

We have a varied programme of social activities designed both to stimulate and entertain.

Our activities entertain, stimulate and promote a sense of belonging and being part of a family.

Dementia suitable activities

For those with dementia, suitable activities can be of great benefit: they can help the individual retain their faculties, preserve their sense of identity, and alleviate the stresses and boredom that can result from having dementia.

Private activities co-ordinator

Our activities co-ordinator, Nadine, puts together a varied year-round programme of events designed to make our residents’ lives more fulfilled and enjoyable. A selection of recent activities includes:

  • Professional entertainers

  • Animal therapy
  • Gardening
  • Handicraft sessions
Holding fundraising events

We also have strong ties with groups, charities and schools in the area, holding fundraising events such as coffee mornings for charity.

Actively encourage visits

We actively encourage family and friends to visit, join in activities and be part of our life at Lostock Lodge.

Resident iPad

We also have an iPad that residents can use to access the internet, and we have set up a dedicated e-mail address so that relatives who live some distance away can write.

Our experienced and dedicated team are passionate about delivering exceptional care to our residents and their loved ones. We have created something special at Hailsham House, to create a space where people can thrive with personalised, dedicated care and support.

As well as providing excellent professional care, our entire team are dedicated to fostering a sense of home and of belonging.

That means taking plenty of time to understand individual residents, their likes, and dislikes, and exploring all the ways we can make them happy and comfortable. It’s all about giving our residents and their loved ones the confidence that we’re providing the very best of care and delivering special resident experiences every day, making their day, every day.
